The Social Information Processing and Physiology Study (SIPPS)
PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH!
Learn more about each study below:
In this study, we are hoping to learn more about the relationship between how people process social information and their physiology. To do so, we will first ask you to complete an online survey that will take around 30 minutes. Then, we will have an in-person session where you will complete a few surveys and two information processing tasks. To assess your physiology, we will monitor your heart rate and blood pressure, do two blood draws from both your fingertip and a vein, and do two allergy tests on your forearm. The session will last around 3 hours and you will be compensated with $90. For more information about this study, please visit: carolinasnhlab.com/sipps or email Natalie at nantenucci@unc.edu.

The Social Presence and Reaction Study (SPARS)
We are looking for young adults 18-35 to participate in a research study examining how
individuals make impressions and think about social feedback, and how this relates to their
cognition. The study consists of completing a social processing task while in an fMRI scanner
and having your physiology measured via electrodes placed on your hands. Additionally, you’ll
be asked to complete various cognitive tasks, and an online questionnaire. Your total
participation should last about 2 to 2.5 hours. All study procedures will occur on the UNC Medical Campus at the Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC). Participants will be paid $50 for completion.
If interested, please email SPARS@unc.edu or click here to see if you’re eligible to participate!
