Why do research as an undergraduate?
Gaining research experience as a STEM major has many perks! Of course it can help you explore and cultivate your own interests, and can boost your journey to graduate school or a future job, but it’s also much more! It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about science by being a part of a community and becoming a member of a lab family. Once you find a lab that’s right for you, it’s a great way to connect and bond with fellow students and faculty who share your passions and interests! Research is also a team effort, where lab mates work together and learn from one another.
